Loyalty Through Branding
By: Wes Robertson
Something you can use for just about anything for your company is a promotional product. If you want a method to create brand awareness, create consumer loyalty, and improve worker goodwill then using a product should be a serious thought.
Let us look at how a promotional item can be utilized to build consumer loyalty for now. Would a customer use your merchandise or service to start with? Why would they go to you and not one of your competitors? Is it the particular product that does more than your competitor? Competitors will make these claims, too.
It stands to reason that the big difference between you and ''those other guys'' is a warm feeling your customers will have when they think of your company. A great product is great for business, and so is customer service that is heads and shoulders above the rest, but to compete in the marketplace you'll need more to make your clients remember your company.
Consider some examples as to how you can use an imprinted item to create loyalty among customers. It always helps to have something that your customers can use on a regular basis but you can also make a theme around your item. For example, use a backpack branded with your logo and hand it out to customers if you decide to do a back to school promotion. Time it right and this will even keep your customers from having to make a trip to the store to buy a backpack themselves.
Perhaps your company plans to treat employees to some kind of get together; you can give them a product that ties into the theme of the gathering. For example, if you are going to have an outing to a baseball game, make the seats more comfortable with a blanket that has your company's logo. Maybe even consider some little binoculars to see the game better.
Yet another example, if you are treating employees or customers to a trip, is providing luggage tags or a beach towel with your logo. The custom tags can remind them that they are leaving town and the towel sends the message of warm and sunny weather.
Feel free to be creative with the potential choices and make them fun. You can use more traditional products like magnets and calendars, but that is a little boring. It will be a more pleasant surprise to customers and employees when they see a company making a buzz! |
